ANNOUNCEMENTS |
The new logos are here! Along with so many other things that have gone on behind the scenes in facilitating the successful merger between VNLL and RBVLL came the job of branding Vista Little League.
Local artist, Erik Casillas, volunteered his talent and time and came up with bold new designs for our bigger better league.
Reserve your spot now for the Spring ’21 season. Because of the uncertainty surrounding Covid-19, we implemented a reservation system this year so that players could commit without having to pay full price until we have a better idea of what the season will look like. We expect to open full registration very soon. Those holding reservations will have priority and avoid being waitlisted if registrations exceed our team capacities.
DIVISION SPOTLIGHT!

Starting this season, there will be a new age alignment to the divisions at Vista Little League. The Intermediate division will be open to players League Age 11-13. The Intermediate division (also known as 50/70) features a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths. Intermediate players are allowed to lead off bases and steal bases at any time.
Vista Little League is excited to have this division available, especially for those players who have “aged out” of Majors. Playing 50/70 extends the Little League experience and helps bridge the gap until high school. The 50/70 field also serves as a physical transition distance between a Little League Majors field (46-foot pitching distance/60-foot diamond) and a high school field (60/90). Our Optimist Majors field accommodates 50/70 dimensions, so most games will be played there.
Intermediate teams will be drafted from the eligible player pool, which consists of all players who are League Age 11-13. As in the past, assessments will be held by age group prior to the draft. While the number of Intermediate teams is unknown at this time, we expect most players from last year’s Majors division to move up to 50/70.
Please note, if a player who is League Age 11 or 12 plays Intermediate, that player is not excluded from being considered for the 9-10-11 or 10-11-12 all-star teams. All-star consideration is based on age, not division.
