The City has been working with Mrs. Beaty, a trustee of the trust that owns the property, regarding the purchase and acquisition of the property located at 501 S. Santa Fe Avenue, which is adjacent to the Commission-owned parcels. There is a 2,510 square foot commercial building on a 5,227 square foot lot. This is a piece of land is needed for the next Roundabout.

An independent third party performed an appraisal of the property. The offer made by the City and Commission and purchase price accepted by the trust is reflective of that value. ALTERNATES FOR CITY BOARDS/COMMITTEES/COMMISSIONS
Councilmember Franklin requested the City Manager place discussion item on an upcoming City Council meeting agenda to discuss adding alternates to City Boards/Committees/Commissions. There is one City Council Policy (200-06) that addresses appointments to City Boards, Committees and Commissions. In addition, each of the 12 boards, committees and commissions of the City have separate authorizing and appointment language in either the Vista Municipal Code or a City Council Resolution. The City’s 12 Boards, Committees and Commissions are as follows:
