Jessica: I constantly workout and this summer I wanted to have that six pack toned stomach, but is it true that abs are made in the kitchen?
Megan: The way the body is designed is in layers. We have our skin, fat, then muscle, which means that the muscle is the last layer to shine through. Visceral fat is that pesky stomach fat that likes to sit and stay right in that area. To get the best results you must combine good eating, cardiovascular exercises, and abdominal exercises. Continuing to eat foods that are high in calories, sugar, and fat only make the exercise portion negate or attempt to burn off the excess. This makes the path to the muscle much more treacherous. Doing a million crunches a day won’t make the six pack pop until you shed the fat on top. Your ab muscles are in there, but you have to make choices that attribute to being leaner for the muscle to reveal itself. The 3 part process will pay off in due time.
