C.J.: I’ve been trying to eat more salads and when I shop I’ve heard that iceberg lettuce isn’t very nutritious. Is that true??
Megan: In my opinion go for spinach. First of all, it has 20 times the amount of vitamin A (needed for vision and skin) compared to iceberg, 6 times the amount of folate (good for cellular repair), and twice the amount of fiber. If you’re going to eat more salad, might as well reap all the benefits you can.
