Jordan: Seems like at the gym and in so many magazines, all you see are advertisements for different supplements for everything. What should people be taking and how do you even know which ones to take?
Megan: Hey Jordan, as a professional all natural bodybuilder, I don’t need to supplement or “substitute” certain products into my body. When you eat correctly with the proper whole food sources of protein, carbohydrates, and fats, the body is supplied with that is needs for cellular repair and functioning. For example, if I needed more iron, I would consume more lean meats and seafood. A doctor can tell you what your body could be deficient in by performing a comprehensive blood panel. Don’t fall for false claims and promises. Ask your doctor first what your body specifically needs, not what the supplement market is pushing. Taking supplements your body doesn’t need only makes the liver work harder and anything in excess will just be excreted anyways. Spend your money on real foods.
