Assemblymember Waldron -Mental Illness Awareness

By   /  October 3, 2019  /  No Comments

Sacramento, CA –Marie Waldron, State Assemblymember   …Every day, millions of Americans face the reality of living with a mental health condition, often in silence and without the necessary support.

This week is Mental Illness Awareness Week. It is a reminder to all to educate, fight stigma, and support people affected by mental illness.

As a member of the Assembly Health Committee and your Representative, I have made it a priority to fight to expand mental health programs and services. By making access to treatment available and affordable, we can restore lives.

If you or a loved one needs help, the National Alliance on Mental Illness is here. Call 800-950-NAMI or email [email protected] for more information. You can also get help in a crisis by texting “NAMI” to 741741.
