  • Assemblymember Marie Waldron –1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.

Yearly mammograms and screenings for genetic risk factors and early warning signs have proven to be highly effective diagnostic tools. If caught early, breast cancer is treatable.

I am proud to be a lead advocate in our State Legislature for women’s healthcare. In the past, I have authored legislation to require health plans and insurers to provide coverage for breast and ovarian cancer susceptibility screening, and I continuously support efforts to improve access and treatment to preventative care.
