Marie Waldron, State Assemblymember  –The 75th Assembly District, which I am honored to represent, is a unique and beautiful region we are all lucky to call home. From San Marcos and Escondido to Temecula, and every rural community in between, I am always proud of our amazing district and the wonderful people who live here.

The ties that bind us are strong. Escondido and Temecula are both railroad towns dating back to the 1800s, with vibrant historic downtowns generating tourism and local business. Today, we’re tied together by the I-15 corridor over which thousands commute daily to work, to shop, to attend school, or just for pleasure.

This district is also the heart of our region’s agricultural industry. Our district makes San Diego the 19th most productive agricultural county in the United States! Temecula’s wine country draws tourists from all over the world to taste the renowned wines produced in our district. Our agriculture and agro-tourism generates millions of dollars annually, locally and for the entire state.

This region’s Native American Tribes also make us unique. San Diego County is home to 18 Federally recognized tribal governments; more than any other county in the nation and eight of which reside within the 75th Assembly District. These tribal governments provide thousands of local jobs and badly-needed emergency services, such as essential fire protection, for many of our rural communities.

I am honored to represent this unique community in Sacramento, and proud to call this beautiful district home! To see a map of our district and learn more about it, click here.
