Details How a Possible New Ballot Measure Can Fund Transit, Pothole Repair, and Safe Routes to Schools
San Diego, CA –Land use and Transportation think tank Circulate San Diego released a report today detailing how an MTS ballot measure could finance transformative transit projects, road repair, and safety programs. Transportation leaders and advocates hosted a press conference at the Old Transit Center.

The following advocates joined Circulate San Diego in support of transportation funding:

- Armando Nuñez, Southwest Carpenters
- Andy Hanshaw, San Diego County Bicycle Coalition
- Ginger Hitzke, Circulate San Diego Board Member
“Our report is a roadmap to help MTS put forward the strongest possible transportation ballot measure to attract the support of voters,” said Colin Parent, Executive Director and General Counsel for Circulate San Diego. Parent authored the report “Transit Together.”
“MTS has the opportunity to reinvest $10 billion in local revenue to improve our transportation network, and create good paying local jobs, and we look forward to working with MTS to ensure the proposal does just that” said Armando Nuñez with the Southwest Carpenters.
