Splash Into August With WAVE Splash Camps
The Wave Waterpark is offering through September 4 Splash Camps for youngsters ages 7 to 15. Health and safety precautions will be observed during the all-day weekly camps. Each weekly camp is $195 ($10 discount for Vista residents).
Change in Traffic Flow: Paseo Santa Fe
On August 10, traffic for the Paseo Santa Fe construction project was moved to the north side of S. Santa Fe Avenue. This means vehicles traveling south on Civic Center Drive are now able to make a right turn onto S. Santa Fe. The vehicles traveling north on Civic Center Drive are being directed to access Pala Vista Drive to connect to S. Santa Fe Avenue. The project will be completed in winter 2020.
Postcards to Registered Voters To Get Mail Ballots
The Registrar of Voters is sending postcards to over 1.8 million registered voters in San Diego County this week telling them to expect a mail ballot for the November 3, 2020 Presidential General Election.
Tracking County COVID-19 Cases
Two COVID-19 triggers are improving; yet community outbreaks continue to increase across the County. Public Health officials are reporting 28,234 positive cases as of August 9. Vista has 838 cases. Thank you to those doing their part to help slow the spread of the virus, keep using masks, physically distancing, washing hands, and avoiding gatherings.
City Council Meets Virtually on August 11
The City will continue to hold virtual Council meetings. The next is on August 11. Watch the meeting live at 5:30 pm and request to speak via teleconference or submit written comment. The agenda has been posted online.
