Be Safe, Be Healthy, Let’s Get the Economy Open …Your voice is being heard, San Diego County. Here’s the motion I made six days ago requesting beaches to open immediately. While it was ultimately voted down, some beaches have opened today.
It’s a start. We will keep pushing for common sense to prevail.

New Health Orders

  • Coastal communities can open beaches and bays for swimming, surfing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. If cities open their beaches, walking and running on the sand will continue to be permitted.
  • Parking lots at beaches will remain closed and sitting or lying on the sand will be prohibited. Group activities like volleyball and other team sports are not permitted and boating is still banned.
  • Beginning May 1, all County residents will also be required to cover their face while they are out in public and within six feet of someone that is not a household member.
