Artbeat on Main Street, 330 Main Street in Downtown Vista, celebrated the amazing work of Photographer Allen Freeman at an Opening Reception on October 15th. There was Art, Music, Wine, Beer, and so much more! From October 15th through October 31st, Allen will be exhibiting his Dr. Peepers, Steampunk, and Macabre photography.
Don’t miss his second exhibition from November 1st-November 16th, when he will be showing an array of his Best of the Year Photography selections. *Must be 21 or older.
Dean LeCrone started collaborating with artist/ photographer Allen Freeman in 2003/4. They were both exhibitors at ComicCon and when they met they hit it off as they both loved comic books. Allen has a history of graphic arts with comics and publishing and photography. He brings all of his art sophistication, technique and his long history into photography. Dean has been a model for him and a cartoonist. He has been Edward Scissorhands, the Steampunk character Dr. Artemis Peepers and The Joker. He also used to be an actor and this is a great way to express himself through the character study within Allens’ photography. Maureen Barrack has to have Dr. Peepers in the Alley Art Festival in September and he is always happy to oblige.

Allen started in college doing art and making movies with regular Super 8 movies just for fun. He took photography classes but mostly went to college for commercial art.
