Vista, CA — The 33rd annual Holiday Homes Tour will take place on Sunday, December 8th this year.

The Vista Community Clinic Holiday Homes Tour is a favorite tradition of the season for hundreds of area residents. Held on the second Sunday of December each year, the tour provides a close-up look at some of the most beautiful homes in the area. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. The event is open to ages 12 and up. You may purchase your tickets online or over the phone. Tickets may be purchased in person on the day of the tour. Here is a sneak peek into this year’s homes:

Creative Manifestation This very unique home has a backstory for just about every piece you see. From the front door to the backyard, there is an intention behind every detail. Homeowners Chuck and Tania are both creative minds that have designed their home to illustrate just that. Art collected from New Orleans, Florence, Mexico, and Africa adorn the walls and shelves throughout. The backyard even boasts a puppet stage with room enough for 60. There is a great deal to take in, and even more to tell, the moment you walk in the front custom-made cherry wood door.

Modern Classic In 2016, Robert E. Westfall, Jr. worked with Carlsbad Architect, Caroline Dooley, on an expansion to the front of an old mid-century cabin that was located on prestigious Highland Avenue in Olde Carlsbad. The goal was to create a signature piece of architecture to compliment other remarkable and unique homes on the street, while maintaining the dignity of classic mid-century design. The result is a timeless split-level home that one must closely study to determine if it is a new home or a remodeled gem from 1960. Surprise! It’s both.

Lush Landscapes This 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom beauty feels open the moment you step through the gates. A water feature greets guests at the front bringing an immediate sense of tranquility. The house itself sits in the center of the property surrounded by lush vegetation. There are a total of 16 citrus trees, 2 banana trees, 1 pomegranate tree, and various exotic palms and birds of paradise. Inside you’ll find a true family home – the hutch in the foyer comes from the owner’s great grandmother, the dining table a handmade gift from a brother, and a few rooms remodeled over the years to accommodate the children. You’ll be sure to feel the warmth the moment you step inside.

Setting Roots Homeowners Chase and Kelsey have only been living here for 5 months but they are already deeply rooted to this home. The birth of their fourth child occurring unexpectedly in this very backyard! The home has only continued to enrich their lives ever since. With ample space in the yard to run around and a beautiful pool to swim in, this home is always where the heart is. The kitchen opens up to both the living room and pool area for a constant connection to what’s going on whether you are cooking or relaxing, especially convenient for entertaining guests. The large windows of the front room allow natural light to flood in and warm the home.
