Oceanside, CA — The MainStreet Oceanside Independence Parade Committee made the difficult decision this week to cancel the 2020 Oceanside Independence Day Parade. Many alternatives were discussed and we will continue our commitment to provide our community with this longtime tradition. What form the parade will take and when it might happen will be determined by the course of the pandemic.

In the meantime, we thank you for your support through the years. And we urge you to support local and keep Oceanside Strong during these trying times. To provide financial relief to Oceanside businesses affected by COVID-19 closures, we have launched the Oceanside Strong fundraising campaign. Proceeds from the campaign will be used to establish the Keep It Local Oceanside Microgrant Program for local businesses.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, our local businesses have been adapting and collaborating to keep serving our community in a number of creative and inspiring ways. In conjunction with the Oceanside Strong fundraising campaign, we’ve launched the Oceanside Strong YouTube series for our business owners to tell their stories. Each episode features a different Downtown Oceanside business. Please support our featured businesses, as well as our sponsors, who produced this series at no cost to the participants.

Video series sponsored by Bliss Tea & Treats, created by Al Gordon, owner of SHHH…Training & Consulting, and produced by Let’s Get It YouTube channel.
