Oceanside, CA –The Oceanside Homeless Resource started back in November to help families and individuals get off the streets and into permanent housing. When the Covid hit we stepped it up and created a shelter Covid program that is 100% grass roots and privately funded. We also created a meal program that has served over 17,000 meals since March.

Right now we have 22 clients in our shelter program. We have teamed up with the Lucky Duck Foundation to bring in supplemental meals for our communities here in North County. We serve veterans, families, individuals and seniors that are on the streets and/or in compromised in their living situations. We also have teamed up with different nonprofits to help move these families and individuals into permanent housing and give them the resources that are needed.

The Oceanside Homeless Resource became a nonprofit in May. We have teamed up with the homeless veterans of San Diego to truly make a difference in our community and North County. Every day we are raising private funds to keep 22 people sheltered. We also continue to create a grassroots meal program for our guests in our shelter program and our clients out on the streets. We have also partnered with Humanity Showers and we bring in showers two times a week to Oceanside.
