Supervisor Desmond -Around The County

North County — Due to the Boil Water Order that was issued a few weeks ago, businesses and restaurants were forced to temporarily close in Poway. However, 27 of those restaurants were able to receive temporary permits that cost $459. On Wednesday, the Board voted unanimously to waive those fees relieving some of the burden for those businesses.
I encourage everyone to support Poway businesses this weekend!

Holiday Open House

Borrego Springs Update – The community of Borrego Springs is continuing to make progress through their revitalization committees. Last week, I had the chance to check in and hear about the growth happening in our desert community.

    That’s it, Mr. Desmond? No announcement about the Dryden Place property purchase off the west end of the airport? You know…the one that expands airport property and does not comply with the so called Settlement Agreement! Your District would like some substance in your activity reports.
