CA is Not Leading, It’s Lagging
We have lost sight of one of our original goals, which was hospital capacity and the ability to treat those in need. As of September, we are in the single digit percentages of COVID patients in hospital beds. We have proven, we can identify, treat, and protect the most vulnerable people in San Diego County.
My COVID-19 goal is for San Diego County to have more local control and to focus less on positive cases and more on hospital capacity (which is doing very well). I believe that will create a better balance between business and health!
Failure of our Justice System
We’ve had another example of our State’s judicial system failing the community. Saturday afternoon there was an attempted kidnapping at the Costco in Vista. The suspect opened the back seat of a car, reached in and grabbed a child in the backseat. Luckily, the parents were able to quickly react and stop the suspect.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested 37-year-old Adam Glavinic. He’s facing charges of felony attempted kidnapping and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
But, here’s the most ridiculous part of this story. This person is back out on our streets! Glavinic was released from jail on a $100,000 bail Sunday.
This person should not be back out on our streets after attempting to kidnap a toddler. This is a failure of our legal system in Sacramento. Read the Story
