If you missed the recent Saturday Cafe, you missed some really great food! James Leitholf made fantastic sandwiches from the recipes he used when he owned Niko’s Express Italian Deli. We had a great crowd of people and there were lots of compliments on the food. I’m sure we will ask James to bring Niko’s back again!
Don’t forget that this Saturday is our Independence Day BBQ. The fun begins at 11am with the Chili Cook-Off. The meals will be served around 12-noon. Time to sign up for the Chili Cook-Off has run out but I’ll hold the entry window open until Tuesday at 2pm. If you want to enter the contest, please call the Lodge before 2pm on Tuesday.
Tuesday From The Kitchen
On Tuesdays, we’re going to let our two new chefs shine. Be sure to come in for lunch or dinner for a special treat.
Mike’s Tuesday Specials
Mike’s Tuesday Special will be a wonderful menu entree served in addition to our normal lunch menu. Choose the special or your favorite lunch item, just be sure to add Tuesday lunch at the Lodge to your schedule. Lunches are served between 11am and 2pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
Chuy’s Choice Tuesday Dinners
This Tuesday will be a great night to stop by the Lodge for dinner, especially if you love Mexican food. Chuy is making Beef Tacos and I’m sure they will be Fantastic.
Earlier this month, the State of California (via CAL/OSHA) issued additional restrictions for venues such as our that said to “discontinue activities” such as Karaoke, open mic performances, and performances such as musical acts (bands). These restrictions were in addition to stating that patrons need to “wear a face covering when not eating or drinking.”
The results of these restrictions for our Lodge are significant.
Friday Night Music – We were hoping to add dancing to our Friday night dinners starting in July, but that is not looking likely at this time.
Wednesday Night Karaoke is also not allowed. Chuy will be preparing great meals for Wednesday nights and we will have music playing in the background… just not Karaoke.
Restrictions Rumor Mill
I heard a silly rumor that we weren’t having Karaoke because “the ER doesn’t want us to have Karaoke anymore.” Nothing could be further from the truth. I love the fact that before we closed, Karaoke was rivaling our Friday night dances in terms of both attendance and kitchen revenue. I can hardly wait until both Karaoke and the dances are allowed again at the Lodge!
