Vista Gift Card Gives Back Bonus Cash & Supports Local Businesses
Vista, CA –Vista Bucks, a citywide digital gift card program in which consumers are able to purchase $25 in value for just $20, launches Saturday, October 24. The program aims to drive business to Vista’s restaurants, retailers and other merchants to help restore economic vitality to small businesses during the pandemic.
Individuals preregistering online at VistaIsOpen.com/vistabucks before the launch date will be provided purchase access before the cards are available to the general public on October 26. A limit of 500 gift cards offering the free $5 bonus will be sold. The City of Vista and Vista Chamber of Commerce are co-sponsoring the program to help generate needed income to businesses impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. More than 40 Vista businesses are participating in the program. All participating businesses redeeming the Vista Bucks cards receive 100 percent of the card’s face value.
The Vista Bucks program is different than similar versions in other cities, because the Vista Bucks is a universal card that can be used at any participating Vista location.
“Vista Bucks is a key program we’re launching during the critical holiday season,” said Kevin Ham, City of Vista Director of Economic Development. “It’s a simple and effective way to join efforts with our residents to support these vital businesses in our community. Plus, the card purchasers receives a bonus. ”
“The response for Vista Bucks among Vista businesses has been extraordinary,” said Rachel Beld, Vista Chamber of Commerce CEO. “But even more impressive is the fast-growing list of people who already have preregistered to purchase the card!”
The City and Chamber also are encouraging local businesses to buy Vista Bucks cards as holiday gifts for employees, clients and customers. Visit the VistaBucksCard.com online for more information about bulk gift card purchases.
