In a key Avocado Football League – in a battle of undefeated the Carlsbad Lancers Titans improved their record to 2-0 behind the 5 touchdown performance of Aiden Sayin, who has committed to the University of Pennsylvania, defeating the previously undefeated San Marcos Knights (2-1) by a 49-9 score.
Aiden Sayan threw for 199 yards throwing TD passes of 39 yards to Norman Madero; 45 yards to Josh Davis; 10 yards to Mike Ryan; 11 yards to Tyler Nolte and a 42 yard touchdown run. Brother Julian Sayan threw a 15 yarder to Maylo Norwood. Norman Madero led the Lancers with 119 yards rushing.
Coach Thadd MacNeill said “After trailing 3-0 I liked the way how our offense executed off the ball, we have talented players on our squad that make key plays.” “Aiden Sayan is a returning quarterback who led our team to the CIF Division finals last season and who has committed to the University of Pennsylvania. I consider him best quarterback in San Diego and is fun to coach.”
San Marcos Carter Schultz threw for 155 yards, Kaden Vonhout scored the only touchdown for the Knights for 4 yards and Evan Vanderlea kicked a field goal of 30 yards
