The Rotary Club of Vista will present the International Festival of Music and Arts on Saturday, May 9th, beginning in Brengle Terrace at 9:00 am until 5:00 pm and ending in Moonlight Amphitheatre with a 6:00 pm concert featuring The 5th Dimension and Mariea Antoinette.
Brengle Terrace, located at 1200 Vale Terrace, will be filled with 200 vendors that will represent international “villages” offering arts & crafts, delicious food and cultural drinks from around the world. Two stages showcasing Live Music, Arts, Dance and more will perform throughout the day. Stage performances will begin at 11:00 am. A special treat for all beer enthusiasts featuring local breweries will take place in the Beer Garden.
There is no cost for admission to the festival, but there is a charge at the various vendor’s booths. The Vista Rotary Club is looking for volunteers, sponsors, vendors, donations and groups that would like to perform. If you are interested in helping out or signing up go to www.VRIF.org for more information.
The proceeds for the festival will go entirely towards creating a “Digital Arts Centre” for the Boys & Girls Club of Vista. The Boys and Girls Club of Vista has been actively involved in the Vista community since 1963.
One special feature of the International Festival will be a benefit concert in Moonlight Amphitheatre featuring the award winning 5th Dimension and the jazzy, soulful renditions by harpist Mariea Antoinette. The concert will begin at 6:00 pm. The 5th Dimension has had 22 Top 40 hits, 5 #1 hits and they won 6 Grammy Awards. There hit songs “Up, Up and Away”, “Wedding Bell Blues” and “Aquarius/Let the Sun Shine In” are just a few of the songs that they will sing. Tickets can be purchased at www.VRIF.org or at the entrance to the Moonlight Amphitheatre on the day of the performance. Ticket prices are $85.00 for orchestra level, $65.00 for reserved seats and $45.00 for lawn seating.
The International Festival has something exciting in store for the entire family. Mark May 9th on your calendars and support The Boys & Girls Club of Vista.
