Soroptimist Club of Vista Soroptimist International of Vista and North County Inland is participating in GivingTuesday to raise money for educational grants to women in need who are head of household or single moms, to help them get the education and training they need to support their families. We call this our “Live Your Dream” Award. These are women who do not have the support network that most of us enjoy. Many have experienced domestic abuse and homelessness. SOROPTIMIST WEBSITE

Alta Vista Botanical Gardens We invite the community to donate by joining in our 2020 Virtual Holiday Fundraiser, online now through 12/20, with a goal of raising $10,000 to keep our Gardens growing strong. For every $25 donated you are entered into a drawing for a handmade quilt, brunch in the Rose Garden, or a family membership. FUNDRAISING PAGE
SDCCU is proud to once
again partner with local animal shelters and rescues in San Diego, Riverside and Orange Counties to help provide supplies and resources for our four-legged friends. Last holiday season, SDCCU’s “Presents for Paws” combined donation efforts collected a total of $9,097 for shelter animals in need, and our goal this year is $10,000! This year the need is more than ever, due to the hardship from the COVID-19 pandemic. SDCCU
Got Your Back San Diego We currently have over 200 students signed up in North County, including at 9 VUSD schools, to receive backpacks of food every weekend during the school year. For each student we provide enough food in each bag for 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, along with snacks and fun nutrition games and info. One-time or regular monetary donations of any amount are greatly appreciated, and in addition we have a donation option where people can sponsor the monthly cost of feeding one student, which is $30 per month. Operation Hope North County This GivingTuesday we have set a goal to raise $2,000 to support our mission in offering a safe, caring, and supportive environment to families with children and single women experiencing homelessness as they rebuild their lives and reclaim independence.
