UPDATE…GARCIA, Juan aka PAREDES, Jose Luis aka MORENO, Jose is wanted for the Dec 5th, 2015 shooting death in Unincorporated Escondido of his estranged wife ORTIZ, Teresa. GARCIA fled on foot and was last seen on Dec 6th, 2015 driving a stolen 2003 silver Ford Taurus SE, CA plate 7NNJ79 .The vehicle was stolen from the Thunderbird Driving Range at 26351 N. Centre City Pkwy in Unincorporated Escondido. On
Tuesday, December 8th, the stolen Ford Taurus was recovered in Unincorporated Escondido.
GARCIA remains at large. GARCIA may be carrying a 9mm semi-automatic handgun and should be
considered armed and dangerous. Although GARCIA is a longtime resident of the Escondido area, he is
also a Mexican national who may attempt to flee the country.
Jose is wanted for the Dec 6th, 2015 shooting death in Unincorporated Escondido of his estranged wife ORTIZ, Teresa. GARCIA fled in a vehicle that was recovered a short distance from the crime scene. GARCIA may be carrying a large semi-automatic handgun and should be considered armed and dangerous. Although GARCIA is a longtime resident of the Escondido area, he is also a Mexican national and may attempt to flee the country.
SUSPECT DESCRIPTION – GARCIA is a Hispanic male, approximately 5’8” and 170 pounds with brown eyes and curly, shoulder length black hair. He is clean shaven and has a small tattoo on the outside web of his right hand. He has used a variety of names and dates of birth. At the time of the homicide GARCIA was wearing a blue, long
sleeve shirt, blue denim shorts, long white socks and white tennis shoes.
