VVBA North County St Patrick’s Parade
The Vista Village Business Association will be hosting the 5th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival this Sunday, March 13th. This event draws hundreds of families from all over North County to downtown Vista.
The Festival, which begins at 10 a.m., will be held on Indiana Ave, between Main & Broadway, and will also include Main Street from North Indiana to Michigan Ave. Live entertainment from San Diego’s high energy fiddle rock band, Lexington Field, will start at noon at the gazebo on Main St. In addition, there will be plenty of activities for kids of all ages to enjoy throughout the day. The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. at S. Citrus Ave. and will wind along Broadway, and continue up Hanes Place before turning on Main Street.
In order to accommodate the parade and festival, Main Street, Citrus Ave., Broadway and Hanes Place will be closed to vehicle traffic beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2016. Citrus, Broadway, Hanes and portions of Main St. will reopen completely at 12:30 p.m. following the parade. Indiana, as well as Main Street, between North Indiana and Michigan will remain closed until 4:30 p.m. The city will be posting signs announcing the closures by Friday, March 11th so that your customers will be prepared.
