Vista, CA -Gill Schnellinger the Life Enrichment Director at Estancia Senior Living in Fallbrook contacted members of the American Legion Riders (ALR), Chapter 365 and asked if they could Make a Wish come true for one of their residents.
So, on Saturday 18 September members of ALR 365 went to Estancia to make a wish come true.
The wish from Tom Caton, a 91 year old resident, was to go for one more ride on an iconic Harley Davidson motorcycle. Tom is a former Veteran and serviced honorably from 1946 to 1950 in the National Guard. He later in life married his high school sweetheart and owned his own printing business.
The American Legion Riders took Tom on a 100 mile motorcycle ride and he was all smiles throughout the day. They also stopped by K9 Guardians in Fallbrook and got to see Leisa Tilley-Grajek work with one of her dogs that is destined to be a service dog for a military veteran.
The ALR’s mission is to support Veterans and their causes as well as to support their community. If you want to get involved, please stop by 1234 South Santa Fe Ave, Vista CA and ask how you can get involved
