And Young Entrepreneur’s Holiday Market

Vista, CA November 2022 – Over 15,000 of North County’s residents are expected to attend the Vista Chamber of Commerce’s 64th Annual Vista Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 3 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in downtown Vista on S. Santa Fe, Broadway and Main Street. The theme for this year is A Toy Stories Christmas, celebrating The Toy Man of Vista, Jeffrey Olsen who will serve as Parade Grand Marshall. Mr. Olsen has collected and given over 57,000 toys to families over a 30-year period.

During this year’s parade participants can visit a holiday market of handmade goods by middle school students as part of the Vista Chamber’s Brightminds Young Entrepreneur Program. The Holiday Market will be held in the Gazebo parking lot at Main & Indiana. The Brightminds Program is sponsored by the CA Women’s Caucus/Assemblymember Tasha Boerner Horvath and OYC Americas.

“Christmas is about giving to others. Selecting Mr. Olsen, the Toy Man of Vista as this year’s Grand Marshall was an easy choice.” said Dave Baldwin, LS Investment Management and Board Chair of the Vista Chamber of Commerce.  “We are proud to offer this parade as a gift to our community.”

Participants in the parade will vie for awards for Best Use of Theme, Best Christmas Spirit, and Best Overall Entry.  The parade floats will feature elected officials, local businesses, non-profit organizations, youth groups, marching bands, car clubs and Santa. Also, joining the parade lineup for the first time is the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile®.

Parade attendees are invited to stick around after the parade for more fun!  Immediately following the parade:
