Anti-Human Trafficking Collaborative to Meet October 12

September 17,2023, Vista, CA—Soroptimist International of Vista and North County Inland will host the North County Anti-Human Trafficking Collaborative meeting on Thursday, October 12th, 9 a.m., at United Methodist Church of Vista, 490 S. Melrose Ave., Vista, upper level Community Room. The event is free to the public, and complimentary coffee and pastries will be provided. Guest speaker will be Megan House, Policy Advisor for County Supervisor Jim Desmond. Ms. House covers the area of Health and Human Services and Public Safety for Supervisor Desmond. She has also had experience volunteering for A21.com, a global anti-human trafficking non-profit.

ABOUT SOROPTIMISTS OF VISTA and NORTH COUNTY INLAND:
Soroptimist of Vista and North County Inland (SI Vista NCI) was chartered on March 23, 1953. The club is part of Soroptimist International, an international organization for women working to improve the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world. Soroptimists contribute time and financial support to community–based and international projects that benefit women and girls. For over 100 years, Soroptimists worldwide have been committed to women’s education, economic and social development, leadership development, protecting the environment, fellowship and diversity. ABOUT THE COLLABORATIVE: The North County San Diego Anti-Human Trafficking Collaborative is a diverse group of individuals and community organizations committed to eliminating human trafficking. Our mission is to raise awareness, provide a platform to share information, improve victim services, educate ourselves and the public, and advocate for policy and legislation related to human trafficking. The Collaborative meets several times a year at the United Methodist at 490 S. Melrose Drive, Vista, California from 9 am to 10:30 am. The event is free to the public, and coffee and pastries are served.
