Christine: I’m super into tracking my workouts and I’ve got my watch with me all the time. I feel like I’m obsessed with it and my husband thinks I should just workout because the tracker isn’t even accurate. What’s your opinion on using trackers??
Megan: Personally, I’m a person who looks in the mirror and doesn’t focus on the scale, which means I don’t focus on trackers either. It can take the enjoyment out of working out to me and make me focus on that watch instead of looking up and seeing the sky or looking at myself in the mirror to check my form. How does that tracker know how much weight I’m using and how much stronger I’m getting? How can it track me performing bicep curls? They can be motivation but don’t let them be your all ruling indication of your workouts, progress, and effort. Sometimes a break from technology is needed.
