Jennie: I just don’t have time to always eat and honestly I know it can be an excuse but I want to try to drink a shake or smoothie as a meal instead and see if it helps. Do you have one I could use or try? 

Megan: Yes I do. I prefer to eat but when someone asks here’s my Green, Lean & Smooth drink -In just 3 minutes the answer to your energy, protein, and weight loss needs can be handled.

High protein. High iron. High Potassium….High five to that

Ingredients-

  • 1 medium banana
  • 1 ¼ cup almond, soy or milk of your choice
  • Big handful of spinach which is equal to around 60-70grams
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter or almond butter

Now throw it all together….BLEND and THAT IS IT

Nutrition Facts (approximately)

  • 310 calories
  • 15 -20 grams protein which is 20% of your daily intake
  • 1200 grams potassium WOW
  • 6 grams of fiber
  • 30-35 carbohydrates
  • 10-12 grams fat

Spinach is high in fiber which helps with digestion and helps keep you full (weight loss benefit). Protein from these ingredients is the building block of muscle and the more lean muscle mass you have, the more fat and calorie burning you do even just sitting. Banana is a natural source of energy efficient carbohydrates. Healthy fats like nuts are needed for performance and to keep cells healthy and insulated.
