Brandy: How much time spent in the sun is too much per day?
Megan: We know that vitamin D from natural sunlight has many benefits, but to be cautious with excessive sun exposure to protect our skin. It does of course vary by type of skin and time of day. In general about 15 minutes per day gives you all the sun’s benefits without adversely effecting health. More than 30 minutes may be damaging. We know that covering up the skin, sunscreen and sunglasses are all good tools. Always be prepared by having sunscreen and a hat with you because often time 15 minutes surely goes by fast.
