Hollie: My mom always made us drink milk with dinner and I do the same for my kids now. But some people say milk is bad for you and kids shouldn’t do that anymore? Is milk bad for kids?
Megan: I too drank milk with dinner as a child. Milk is packed with calcium which is critical for healthy formation/structural foundation of bone and teeth growth as well helping with hormonal development. Dairy is a main source of calcium and milk also contains Vitamin D and protein. Vitamin D helps with calcium absorption. Some argue that today’s milk is filled with hormones and toxins like GMO’s. Always read labels and avoid any questionable products. The production line has changed so it’s hard to always know what the market is selling us, but again, read labels and try to buy what is most natural.
