Kirk: I like bell peppers a lot and it’s one of the few vegetables I will eat. What are the health benefits of eating bell peppers?

Megan: There are many reasons bell peppers are good for us including all the vitamins and minerals they contain, antioxidants, helping with iron absorption, and helping with your eyes because they contain carotenoids. They are also low calorie and about 92% water. However, they do have a higher amount of natural sugar in them compared to other vegetables. Eat a variety of greens as well as bell peppers and you can ensure you get more of the nutrients your body needs for overall health.
