Craig: I have a bad habit of late night snacking. Not even staying up late, but actually waking up in the middle of the night and heading to the kitchen to grab anything. I’ve gained weight so what can I do?
Megan: There are actually emotional aspects to eating. We desire food even when we don’t physically need it. We have conditioned our minds to ask for food all the time. Herbs such as chamomile are a good trick because they aid the digestive system and intestines which might help calm your stomach (which is like your second brain) to ask for food in the middle of the night. Chamomile also has calming effects which could improve your sleep to not actually wake up and do this. Always ask your doctor first, but be sure to address this problem sooner rather than later.
