Escondido, CA – Yesterday, Assemblymember Marie Waldron (R -Valley Center) announced that she has secured $8 million in state funding for the Deer Springs Fire Protection District. “I’ve been working for years to improve safety and wildfire resilience in the rural areas of San Diego County. I am happy that my efforts to secure these funds were successful and that the Deer Springs Fire Protection District will be able to protect cities and rural communities throughout the county for decades to come,” added Waldron.
