Presented byLaurie Gibson, the local editor with two-plus decades of experience serving individual writers, publishers (e.g., Bloomsbury), nonprofits (e.g., the Southern Poverty Law Center), and universities (e.g., Stanford). She’s proofread the writing of trailblazers ranging from novelist Alice Walker, to musician Jimmy Buffett, to Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia. Laurie also taught editing for the Extension programs at both UCSD and UCLA for several years; recently she finished writing her first novel, which features British punk rockers The Clash. Currently she’s seeking new clients with book-length manuscripts.
