The Palomar Cactus & Succulent Society will host Dylan Zoller for a presentation on September 26th at its monthly meeting. . He will be speaking on Jewels of the Brazilian Highlands. The location is at Grace Presbyterian Church, 1450 E. Vista Way (next to Sprouts), in Vista. Park and enter in the back.  Doors open at 11:30am. The Bonsall Woman’s Club meets the first Thursday of the month at The Golf Club of California, 3742 Flowerwood Ln., Fallbrook, CA. The doors open at 9:00 a.m. with coffee and tea available. Lunch is $23 includes tax & tip.

Soroptimist International of Vista and North County Inland will host a QuarterMania Fundraiser on Sunday, October 4th from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Gloria McClellan Senior Center, 1400 Vale Terrace Drive, Vista. In addition to the bidding auction, guests will have the chance to win raffle prizes and browse additional items for sale from up to 10 vendors. Doors open at 11 am for check-in and lunch. Tickets are $30 and include bidding paddle and poker chip, light lunch and non-alcoholic drinks. Maximum bid is 3 quarters, so no one spends more than 75 cents on any auction item. October the American Legion Sons will be putting on Octoberfest from noon to 3pm. This is open to the public, and we hope it will draw the community in for some great food and atmosphere.
