Buddy Guy With Special Guest Colin JamesTuesday | March 15 | 7:30pm

Escondido, CA –At 85 years old, Buddy Guy is keeping the blues alive. Discovered by blues great Muddy Waters and influenced by B.B. King and Willie Dixon, Guy pioneered Chicago’s fabled West Side sound and is a living link to the city’s halcyon days of electric blues. His slashing electric guitar riffs and passionate vocals on hits such as “Leave My Girl Alone” and “Stone Crazy”  has earned him 7 GRAMMY Awards, a 2015 Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award, 37 Blues Music Awards (the most any artist has received), the Billboard Magazine Century Award for distinguished artistic achievement, a Kennedy Center Honor, and the Presidential National Medal of Arts. Rolling Stone Magazine ranked him #23 in its “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.”

With 19 studio albums, seven Juno Awards, 27 Maple Blues Awards, and multi-platinum record sales, Colin James has earned a spot in the pantheon of blues guitarists. Colin can burn hard with his blistering guitar, take it easy with a soulful ballad, or roll into an R&B groove anchoring it all in the blues. Colin has worked with some of the world’s most revered artists including, Bonnie Raitt, Albert Collins, Pops Staples, Robert Cray, Albert King, Keith Richards, Lenny Kravitz, ZZ Top, Mavis Staples, and of course – Buddy Guy.
