“I can shake off everything as I write;
my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn.”
– Anne Frank
Anne Frank wrote one of the most famous and haunting stories to emerge from the 20th Century. The memoirs of this young Jewish girl, forced to hide for nearly two years to escape Nazi persecution, are an essential part of how we remember one of the darkest periods of our human history. Yet, there are other voices of this time that need to be heard.

Moshe, Éva, Yitskhok, Dawid and Renia: Like Anne Frank, these five Jewish teens recorded their experiences in diaries as their world descended into World War II. These memoirs are
a testament to the human spirit during a period in history that must never be forgotten.
Five songwriting teams and Tony Award-winning writer Robert L. Freedman have crafted
this world premiere theatrical event to bring their words to life and tell a story with stunning contemporary relevance.
