Featuring The Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Nathan & the Zydeco Cha Cha’s

Escondido, CA – The California Center for the Arts, Escondido Foundation, is thrilled to announce Mardi Grad Mambo featuring The Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Nathan & the Zydeco Cha Cha’s for the first time.

The Dirty Dozen Brass Band are the pioneers of the modern New Orleans brass band movement, recognized worldwide as an unstoppable musical machine. Nathan Williams provides a direct connection to Zydeco’s storied pioneers such as Clifton Chenier and Boozoo Chavis. Once again together in 2023, the two groups will deliver a non-stop Mardi Gras celebration that will everyone on their feet…Blues, cajun, New Orleans soul, zydeco and R&B from two Louisiana legends!

“The Dirty Dozen Brass Band continues to be a national treasure; steeped in both the past and the present, impossible to categorize and mighty funky.” – The New York Times

“Nathan Williams never disappoints…putting out the best Zydeco in the business.” – No Depression
