California Center For the Arts -Season Lineup Sneak Peek

Escondido, CA —The Countdown is on … Tickets go on sale for the Center’s 2021-22 Performing Arts Season this Saturday at 10am! Take a look at our season lineup below and rest-assured that you will get an email from us on Saturday morning with live ticketing links.

Until then, take a look at the list below and click on the links to learn more about the various artists. Check out our curated season Spotify list to see what new sound catches your ear. We are very excited to bring a variety of performers to Escondido and premiere our CCAE Theatricals season with our first series of produced shows.   

In this edition of Art+Sound We also invite you to our closing reception for our museum exhibition on August 26 where we will be announcing our exhibitions for the 2021-22 season. On behalf of our board, staff and volunteers – thank you for ensuring that arts and culture continues to be part of the community we love.

The internationally acclaimed soprano who has been recently seen as Violetta in Wichita Grand Opera’s La Traviata, as Sophie alongside tenor Piotr Beczala in Werther, and as Maria in West Side Story alongside tenor Michael Fabiano.

BALLET FOLKLORICO DE MEXICO DE AMALIA HERNANDEZ
Founded in 1952 by dancer and choreographer Amalia Hernández, Ballet Folklórico brings together the music, dance, and costume of Mexican folklore from pre-Colombian civilizations through the modern era.

INTIMATE CLASSICS CHENG² DUO 
Captivating audiences and critics alike, the “brilliant” (The Times, UK) Cheng² Duo distinguishes itself with its uncompromising musical integrity, undeniable chemistry, and unparalleled communication with its listeners. The Chinese-Canadian brother-and-sister duo is formed by cellist Bryan ChenG and pianist Silvie Cheng.

Post-post-modern diva Meow Meow has hypnotized, inspired, and terrified audiences globally with unique creations and sell-out seasons from New York’s Lincoln Center and Berlin’s Bar Jeder Vernunft to London’s West End and the Sydney Opera House. MAR 27 // 7:30 PM

NAPOLEON DYNAMITE: A CONVERSATION WITH JON HEDER, EFREN RAMIREZ, & JON GRIES
