The Parks & Recreation and Library & Cultural Arts Departments have joined forces to offer an exciting opportunity to summer camp participants, ages 8 – 12. Club Peacock Art Camp @ Leo Carrillo is an interdepartmental collaboration that combines the creative and artistic talents of Library & Cultural Arts Department instructors with beautiful Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park as an outdoor studio.
Campers will enjoy first-class art instruction, a docent-led tour of the park and historic buildings, and an open-air classroom with a view of the beautiful grounds. For extra inspiration (and a little entertainment), peacocks will wander by and serenade the students, and Amigo, the life-size horse, may roll down from his stall in the Stable to model for our aspiring artists!
The first of three sessions begins July 11 and only has three spots left. Don’t miss out! Campers may register at carlsbadconnect.org.
