SDMT is happy to formally announce the kick-off to their 2022 Season with their opening production – Catch Me If You Can!
Based on the hit film and the incredible true story, Catch Me If You Can is the high-flying musical comedy about chasing your dreams and not getting caught. Nominated for four Tony awards, including Best Musical, this delightfully entertaining show was created by a Tony Award-winning “dream team,” with a book by Terrence McNally (The Full Monty, Ragtime) and a swinging score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray).

Due to an increase in Covid infection rates in our community, and with our dedication to providing an as safe and creative environment as possible, we have decided to delay the start of Rising Stars High School Musical Jr. and all Academy winter classes till January 24!
Don’t miss the chance to be in SDMT Academy’s FIRST Rising Stars class where due to limited enrollment, class participants will have more time and attention working directly with industry seasoned professionals as well as more stage time.
Rising Stars provides a unique combination of class time and rehearsals that culminate in a performance for family and friends of High School Musical Jr. with lights, sound and music on the SDMT Stage.
An incredible experience at an incredible value – Rising Stars will elevate and prepare aspiring youth and teens to the next level in their desired theater aspirations!
NATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT DAY JANUARY 9
Though Catch Me If You Can shares the wild and entertaining goose chase of Frank Jr. by detective Carl Hanratty throughout the show, it is actually based on a true story that amplified the dedication and determination of the law officers overall goal to seek justice in the end.
If you have a police officer as a friend or family member, National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day on January 9 is the perfect time to show officers we understand how difficult their job is. It is important to show officers how much we appreciate their sacrifice and risk.
