It is with the saddest regret that we announce the death of Paul Eckert 3/3/1934 -1/5/2022
Paul was a long time Vista resident and North County businessman. He was the San Diego 5th District Supervisor from 1979 to 1986. An original member of the Vista Elks Club, Paul was a supporter of many Vista charitable organizations including the Vista Boys and Girls Club and the New Haven Youth and Family Services. As a life member of the Vista Historical Society, Paul used his time as Society president to spearhead our relocations to our current museum at Rancho Minerva. He also personally funded renovations at the Museum before we moved in and to present day. He will be missed.
There will be a ceremony to commemorate the wonderful life of Paul!

There’s not much more that Paul loved than Oktoberfest, so please join us and remember the good times.
