City hosting Informational Meeting on Proposed Crime Free Multifamily Housing Ordinance Thursday, June 23,2016, at 10:00 am
Vista Civic Center in the Morris B. Vance Community Room
200 Civic Center Drive, Vista CA 92084
The following week the ordinance will be considered by the Vista City Council at the June 28, 2016 City Council meeting scheduled at 5:30 pm in the Civic Center Council Chambers.
The goal of the Crime Free Multifamily Housing program is to reduce the incidence of crime in the City, to improve the living environment of residents living in multifamily developments which have high crime rates or higher calls for service from local law enforcement, and to benefit the community surrounding those multifamily developments. Under the proposed ordinance, when a multifamily development exhibits high levels of service calls to the Sheriff over a prolonged time, the development could be required to participate in a crime free multifamily program.
A copy of the proposed ordinance is available online for review.
