Mike Levin Visits Vista Civic Center
This Tuesday, Congressman Mike Levin held meetings with Vista leaders to hear our priorities for federal funding and support as he serves in the U.S. House of Representatives. Congressman Levin previously secured $2.231 Million for the Vista Sidewalk Improvement and enhanced Street Light Project. This funding will enhance safety and active transportation in the areas around N. Santa Fe to Lemon Ave. Federal funding is essential for helping Vista complete shovel-ready infrastructure projects. As the representative for Vista City Council District 3, I advocated for local improvements to enhance safety and quality of life for our neighborhoods. The Congressman and I stood before a map of Vista as I described areas of concern, such as Emerald Drive. We discussed infrastructure improvements, climate goals, and affordable housing. Assistant to the City Manager Imelda Huerta also attended the meeting and our city staff now have direction from the Congressman regarding what funding sources are available for future Vista projects. I look forward to continuing working with Congressman Mike Levin and I appreciate him making time for Vista!
