|City Receives Large State Appropriations|
Two previously unfunded projects on the City’s Capital Improvement Project list have received State funding. Electric charging stations for vehicles and a new community center for Luz Duran park will enhance Vista’s community and public facilities.

Vista Sheriff’s Junior Deputy Academy is a free 12-week program involving role-playing, physical training, and guest speakers on safety and law enforcement. Registration is open for youth between 10 and 16 years.

Registration for Recreation’s Adult Basketball program is underway with placement games beginning at the end of August. League play through the month of November. Games are played at Jim Porter Recreation Center Gym.

Moonlight’s current musical, “Something Rotten!” is a big hit with critics and audiences. This hilarious mash-up of Shakespeare and Broadway musicals plays at the Moonlight Amphitheatre through August 6.
