New Restaurant Coming to the Downtown Area
The gourmet sandwich chain, Jimmy John’s, is moving into the downtown Paseo Artist Village building on S. Santa Fe Avenue and expects to open in early 2023. This will be the first Jimmy John’s in San Diego County.

Sidewalk Improvements on California Avenue
Due to grant funding, the City was able to install the missing sections of sidewalk and curbs on California Avenue and update existing driveways, so that people with disabilities can safely transition from the road to the sidewalk.

Take a Hike in Your Own Backyard This Summer Vista’s trails are one of its major community assets. This summer, experience beautiful nature trails in your own backyard. The QR codes posted on each trail sign show a map of the trail and if the trail is for casual exercise, enjoying nature, or just relaxing and getting some fresh air. Read More |

Increasing Vista’s Urban Forest and Tree Canopy With a State grant, the City, along with the Urban Corps of San Diego, recently planted 44 trees along S. Santa Fe Avenue and Thibodo Road. Since 2018, the City has planted over 600 trees and will continue to seek grants for future plantings to increase Vista’s tree canopy. Read More |
