This Week’s City Council Meeting

Vista Fire Department Awarded Grant
The Vista Fire Department has received a $28,850 grant to purchase new airbag extrication equipment. First responders use air bag equipment complements to safely rescue crash victims trapped inside a vehicle or under a heavy object. Funding was provided by the California Office of Traffic Safety. Mar Vista Reorganization Application Approved
LAFCO approved the City’s Mar Vista Reorganization application on November 7. The Reorganization request was submitted in July 2021 for approximately 142 acres off Mar Vista Drive, consisting of an island area surrounded by the City of Vista. Staff will begin developing a specific plan in spring 2023. READ MORE

The World’s Largest Job Fair is This Week
The City, Chamber of Commerce, San Diego Workforce Partnership, and businesses will host “The World’s Largest Job Fair” on November 16 & 17. Veteran’s Health Resource Fair, Nov. 19
Vista’s VFW will host a free health resource fair for Veterans on Saturday, Nov. 19, at their post at 1234 S. Santa Fe Avenue on November 19. There will also be art activities, and the VFW encourages families to attend. READ MORE

McClellan Center Hosts a Craft Fair
