Elected Officials Sworn in on December 13

Three members of the Vista City Council were sworn into office on December 13 during the City Council meeting: Mayor John Franklin, District 1 Councilmember Corinna Contreras, and District 4 Councilmember Dan O’Donnell. The City Council also appointed Corinna Contreras as Deputy Mayor. READ MORE
EDCO Service Schedule Uninterrupted for Holidays

EDCO would like to inform residents that their trash service schedules will be uninterrupted this holiday season. As Christmas Day and New Year’s Day fall on Sundays, trash service on Mondays will be normal. Public disposal sites, buyback centers, and customer service offices will be closed on these holidays. Christmas Tree Recycling Begins on December 26

EDCO customers may place Christmas trees curbside on their regular collection day from December 26 through January 6. Natural garlands and wreaths can also be placed in the residential designated yard waste container. Two Christmas tree drop-off locations are also available. READ MORE

Vista Youth Boxers Advance to Regional Championships

Boxers competed over the weekend in the California State Silver Gloves tournament. Vista Boxing Club boxers 5th grader Victor “Tony Boy” Villagomez, 8th grader Uleena Torres, and 16-year-old Antonio Padilla advanced to represent California in the Regional Championships in Compton in January.
Senior Center Hosts Winter Solstice Event

Free COVID Tests Available by Mail
