This Week’s City Council Meeting, January 10

The January 10 City Council meeting agenda includes public hearings on the Inclusionary Housing Program, amendments to the Vista Business Park Specific Plan (Area “B”), as well as preliminary review and proposed zone change discussions for Foothill Drive/Sunrise Circle and La Tortuga Drive, and more. City Services Holiday Schedule

In observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, City offices will be closed Monday, January 16. Trash collection is on the regular schedule with no delays that week.

The City of Vista is pleased to be working with new Interim Vista Sheriff’s Captain John Boyce who was promoted to his current interim position in December. Crime Free Apartment Manager’s Training

The Sheriff’s Department will hold a Crime Free Manager’s Training January 18, 2023 at City Hall from 9 am to 4:30 pm. The training is for apartment managers and staff looking to make their communities safer and join in a partnership with the Sheriff’s. For more information call 760.940.4564.

Kids in the Garden Class at Alta Vista Botantical Gardens

Vista Irrigation District Sponsors Scholarship Contest for High School Seniors.

Vista Irrigation District invites local high school seniors to compete for scholarships from the district. Up to six scholarships may be awarded in amounts ranging from $1,000 to $3,000. The purpose of the scholarship program is to encourage students to learn more about how water related issues influence our daily lives. READ MORE

Cabaret Concerts Kicks Off Moonlight Amphitheatre’s 2023 Entertainment Calendar
